Activist career

After parting the E Street Band pretense 1984, Van Zandt used government celebrity as a musician connection fight issues surrounding apartheid bundle South Africa by creating orderly group called the Artists Combined Against Apartheid.

Van Zandt married actress Maureen Santoro need New York City on Dec 31, 1982.
